Les klapps (appellation non officielle, d’origine allemande) sont des appareils \u00e0 soufflet (donc pliants) dont la face avant est simplement reli\u00e9e au corps de l’appareil par un syst\u00e8me de ciseaux tenseurs \u00e0 ressort sans panneau abattant. Les appareils \u00e0 soufflet \u00ab\u00a0pliants\u00a0\u00bb, dits \u00ab\u00a0foldings\u00a0\u00bb, ont eux un abattant rigide qui se d\u00e9ploie et soutient le soufflet.<\/p>

On les appelle probablement \u00ab\u00a0klapps\u00a0\u00bb pour imiter le claquement sec que produisent les ciseaux \u00e0 la fermeture de l’appareil (ou \u00e0 l’ouverture).<\/p>

Repli\u00e9s les klapps sont tr\u00e8s plats, ce qui \u00e9tait commode \u00e0 une \u00e9poque o\u00f9 les appareils \u00e9taient tr\u00e8s volumineux. D’ailleurs beaucoup d’appareils appel\u00e9s \u00ab\u00a0Vest Pocket\u00a0\u00bb (adapt\u00e9s \u00e0 la poche d’une veste) sont des klapps.<\/p>

Le Kodak Bantam 4,5<\/strong> est aussi un Klapp comme les montrent les vues de dessus. Lui aussi se d\u00e9ploie par pression sur un simple bouton.<\/p>

L’APM Rajar N\u00b0 6<\/strong> est un klapp anglais des ann\u00e9es 1930 avec des ciseaux permettant de l’extraire en force de sa tani\u00e8re par ses pattes de sauterelle.<\/p>
